MAST served as Construction Manager for the expansion of the College via the new Education Facility in Union City. This project is the new construction of a 7 story, 92,350 SF educational facility located adjacent to the Hudson Bergen Light Rail Station (at 48th and 49th Street along Kennedy Boulevard).
The new facility is comprised of the following elements:
- Bookstore
- Library/Media Center
- 20 classrooms
- Biology & chemistry labs
- Computer labs
- Testing Workshop
- Tutoring Room
- Multipurpose Space
- Seminar Room
- Mail/Copy Center
- Continuing Education Office
- Faculty and administrative offices
- LEED Components include solar panels on roof, 15,000 Gal. rain harvesting tank, light shelves, window glazing, recycled content, daylighting and occupancy sensors
- Pedestrian Bridge to the Light Rail
